PeptideHound is funded by advertising and by Featured vendor listings. Here is exactly what each one buys, and what no amount of money changes.

What is for sale
Display advertising. Ad slots on our pages, labelled “Advertisement” and visually separate from editorial content. A seller with a Featured listing has no other sellers’ ads on its own record.
Featured vendor listings. A seller that already has a vendor record can pay for a Featured listing. It includes:
- being shown first in the vendor directory, in alphabetical order with the other Featured vendors, marked with a “Featured” badge;
- its official channels — website, email, phone, address — confirmed with the seller and marked as its own, so buyers can tell it from copycat sites;
- a labelled offer slot (a discount code the seller sets);
- its catalogue, with each compound linked to our page on the published research;
- copycat watch: we tell the seller when a new lookalike domain appears, and add it to the record;
- no other sellers’ ads on its record.
Every Featured element is labelled on the page, and each record says what the listing pays for.
What is not for sale
- A vendor record, or getting one. Records are free and every seller in the directory gets the same five checks.
- Any finding, status or wording in a record: business registration, regulatory actions, COAs, copycat warnings, or what we couldn’t verify.
- The removal or softening of an FDA action, a recall or a copycat warning.
- The record’s check date. Paying doesn’t make a record look fresher, and it doesn’t delay a recheck.
- Position in the directory beyond the labelled Featured block. Everyone else is listed alphabetically.
- A rating, ranking, recommendation or “trusted” badge. We don’t publish those for anyone.
- Editorial coverage, or the wording of any compound or research page.
This is not a courtesy. The records are worth reading because nobody can buy what they say, and that is the thing a Featured listing gets seen next to.
Who can be listed
Sellers that meet our product and quality standard. We don’t list sellers of anabolic steroids or other controlled substances, or sellers with no research-use labelling, and we remove a listing that stops meeting the standard. A seller with an FDA action can be Featured; the action stays on its record, at the top.
